Michigan Celebrates Fourth of July

Michigan beaches are popular with tourists from all over the country. Fourth of July celebrations are a summer highlight for many.

Both Michigan residents and tourists are fortunate to have plenty of lakes to keep the celebrations alive. Some communities in Michigan are even hosting fireworks displays prior to the Fourth of July.

Michigan Fireworks, June 30 – July 3,

Bay City, MI Fireworks Festival
When: June 30, July 1-2, 2022 at 10:00 p.m.
Where: Veteran’s Memorial Park, Wenonah Park

Three evenings of spectacular fireworks will be offered by the City by the Bay to celebrate Independence Day. The display is breathtaking and takes place over the river. There are two spots that offer stunning views: Veteran’s Memorial Park and Wenonah Park.

What is Greenfield Village Fireworks?
Date: June 30, July 1, and 3, 2022
Where: Greenfield Village, Dearborn, MI

For a spectacular celebration, head to Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Michigan. At dusk, walking elements will stop and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will take the center stage on the Village Green. This will be a triumphant musical performance to celebrate Independence Day. The evening will conclude with an emotional “1812” Overture performance and cannon fire, as well as a spectacular fireworks finale.

Lexington, MI Fireworks

Lexington Harbor

The shores of Lake Huron in Lexington (MI) – A charming Michigan beach town, in Michigan’s “Thumb”, is a wonderful place to see the fireworks over the water.

A short drive from Detroit, Lexington is the perfect spot to view a patriotic display over Lake Huron. Lexington, MI will host its Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks on July 1. The fireworks will begin around 9:30 pm by Downtown Lexington’s harbor.

What is Au Gres Fireworks?

The adorable little town of Au Gres, located just south of Tawas (Areac County), is the perfect spot for viewing the July 2 Fireworks in Michigan. The Mackinaw City Independence Day Celebration is billed as the biggest fireworks display in Northern Michigan. It kicks off at sunset with a performance by the Straits Area concert Band at Conkling Heritage Park.
